Daily Face!

I've decided that I want to start doing daily posts of the make-up I wear each day. I think I decided on this a few weeks back when I decided it was time I started doing new things with my make-up and hair but obviously family trouble stopped me from actually putting on any decent make-up.

But here it is! My first Daily Face post! :)

Here's the list of products I used :)
Face;
Laura Geller Spackle under make-up primer.
Loreal Infallible Lasting Perfection Foundation in Porcelain.
Rimmel London Stay Matte finishing powder.

Eyes;

Urban Decay eyeshadows in Foxy (All over lid), Blackout (Winged Liner) and Chopper (Bottom Lash line)
Blink+Go Mascara.

Lips;
Collection 2000 lip liner in Clover Pink.

I got my Mockingjay Pin from Ebay :)

My first make-up look on this blog goes to a recent creation of a modern day arabic eye! Unfortunately I didn't wear this out so I can'r report on what other people thought, but I really loved it :)

The products I used were;

E.L.F Mineral infused face primer.
L'oreal Infallible lasting perfection foundation in Porcelain.
Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer in Fair.
Rimmel London Stay Matte pressed powder in Transparent.
Pink blusher from Primark's happy couple bronzer and blusher duo.
Virgin and Sin from the Urban Decay Naked Palette as highlight.

Eyes;

An unnamed shimmery silver colour over the lid.

Lips;

I think I need to start practicing more for make-up photographing! I need to learn my angles!

What do you guys think of this look? Would you rock it?

Urban Decay 'The Dangerous Palette' - review and swatches.

Urban Decay is probably my favourite make-up brand at the moment. I received this palette from a family member for Christmas, but that doesn't alter my thoughts on the palette. The palette includes 6 eye shadows, a 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Rockstar and a sample size Primer Potion in Greed. First of all, here are a few pictures of the colours in the palette :)

From left to right, top to bottom; Haight, Mildew, Virgin, Oil Slick, Rockstar and Gun Metal.

These are what the colours look like without a primer. The colours are still visible but you'll see when I show you the photo's with primer, that they are much brighter and more like they appear in the palette.

Here they are over the top of the original Primer Potion. I love the way these colours stand out and I love the fact that with these colours you could make an unlimited amount of eye looks! You could even pull some really great neutral looks from these colours. I think my favourite colours would have to be Mildew, just because it's a gorgeous olive green colour and I don't think I've ever owned anything quite like it before. I also love Virgin because it's a great all-over lid colour as well as a great highlight!

The palette also comes with a 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in the shade Rockstar which is a beautiful aubergine purple colour, which you can see below;
I really like this colour and I really like the fact that it's the same shade as one of the more darker colours in the palette. I find it really hard to pull of purple eye-liner, but I wore this on Boxing Day with the shadow over the top and it actually went really well with my eye colour.

The last feature of the palette is the Primer Potion. It comes in the colour Greed which is a gorgeous gold simmer colour which is perfect for me because I wear gold on my eyes all the time - now I can have that extra added 'pop' to the colour with this primer! :) Here's a swatch of it below;
Overall, I really like this palette, it's got a brilliant range of colours and a really nice primer and eye-liner to go along with it. It's also in a really convenient sized palette which makes it great for travel or could even fit in your bag for touch-up throughout the day/night if needed :) Once again, Urban Decay have pleased!

Rituals foaming shower gel review.

This shower gel came with my December Glossybox and I was really excited to try it out because it's not a brand I'd heard of so I was pretty intrigued to say the least.

I've used the gel twice now, once for a freshen up before I went to a party last night and then again tonight whilst having a good old soak in the bath and I have to say I was really disappointed with this product. I was really determined that this was going to be a really good product but honestly, I know that because I live in the UK I could buy a tin of Imperial Leather shower gel and have exactly the same outcome from that shower gel than I could with this one for half the price!

Whilst it did make my skin soft, that's really all it did for me and I was thoroughly disappointed with this product because I was expecting great things!

December Glossybox - first impressions!

I was really excited to receive my December Glossybox! Mainly because I was really disappointed with last months box. I was really excited to see what Glossybox could pull out of the bag (or Box!) for this Christmas themed box and they certainly didn't disappoint!

BLINK+Go Hi-Definition Mascara;
Glossybox describes it as; Longer, Thicker, Sexier. Give your natural lashes a stunning flake-free, waterproof boost.
I tried this product for the first time today and I've got to say I was really apprehensive about using it because the mascara want isn't the usual type of wand I would use! I'm really happy that I didn't let them stop me from using it because I really think that it's one of my favourite mascara's! Although I don't need any help on the longer and thicker side because I was blessed by the good eyelash fairy I really like this mascara and it has really helped with the definition of my lashes! Really impressed with this mascara!

Cargo Cosmetics Classic lip gloss;
Glossybox describes it as; Cargo's new lip gloss formulation! Perfect Shades, great wear and high-shine without being sticky.
I'm not usually a lip gloss girl if I'm honest with you all but this lip gloss has topped them all! Like the description says the shade I received in Morocco was the perfect shade for me - a nude pink with shimmer! It was a beautiful colour so I wore it out to lunch today and the wear was great - it's only transferred when I was drinking, and even after the lipgloss had worn off it still left a really nice shimmer behind! Finally, it was sticky at all, which is why I never really enjoy wearing lip gloss! Such a nice shade of gloss that I will definitely be using again!

Deborah Lippman mini nail varnish in Razzle Dazzle with Stripped to Go Sachet;
Glossybox describes it as; Party glitter nail colour with a sachet of the most amazing polish remover finger nail mitt.
I've got to be honest as soon as I pulled this colour out of my box it was like I had died and gone to heaven. I'm a huge nail polish junkie, so any polish is always welcome to me! The colour of this polish is super amazing! It's a dark pink aubergine-y kind of colour with massive chunks of glitter in it which will certainly be my Christmas nail colour! I always find glitter nail varnish to be a bit of a pain to get off though, so I will be putting the nail varnish remover mitt to the test to see if it can in fact get off the polish like it says it can!

MeMeMe Seventh Heaven;
Glossybox describes it as; A luxurious moisturising facebase enriched with active nutrients and extracts to prime and nourish the skin.
I'm going to be frankly honest and tell you that after one use I am completely hooked on this product! It has the most amazing consistency on the skin which I really don't think I was expecting! It's also kept my make-up firmly on my face all day which is some mean feat because my skin is pretty oily! Also, the smell of this product makes it almost good enough to eat! It's infused with the zest of lemon, orange, lime and mandarin, which is just beautiful! I'm really impressed with this product and can really see myself purchasing the full size product!

Rituals foaming shower gel;
Glossybox describes it as; This unique foaming shower gel gently cleanses your skin and leaves it silky soft and smooth.
I'm really looking forward to trying this product! From what I've already smelt of it it's going to be gorgeous but I'm a strict shower gel user and I've not strayed from my Original Source Mint and Tea-Tree shower gel in a while, I'm looking forward to branching out with this and I can't wait to see what kind of effect it might have on my skin!

Overall I'm really impressed with this months box after last months complete let down! Such amazing products that I already love or am really looking forward to using again! :)
